CYCLOHEXANE is used mainly in the nylon industry where approximately 90% of it is consumed in the industrial production of adipic acid and caprolactam, which are used to manufacture nylon6 and nylon6,6. Cyclohexane can also be used as an intermediate in the manufacture of other industrial chemicals such as cyclohexanone and nitrocyclohexanone. Cyclohexane is used as a solvent for resin, paint and varnish and for extraction of essential oils. It is available in Industrial and Laboratory grade.
