METHANESULFONYL CHLORIDE is mainly used to give methanesulfonates by its reaction with alcohols in the presence of a non-nucleophilic base. It is used as intermediates in substitution reactions, elimination reactions, reductions, and rearrangement reactions. When treated with a Lewis acid, oxime methanesulfonates undergo facile Beckmann rearrangement. It is used as a protecting group for alcohols. It is offered in Technical and Laboratory Grade. Methanesulfonyl Chloride is available in the form of Colourless Liquid packed in 250 kg Drum. We can offer it in many grades as per the application needs in different industry sectors.
