THIOGLYCOLIC ACID (TGA) (Mercaptoacetic acid) are used to formulate hair treatments, specialty hair styling products, and in the preparation of depilatory creams. The main salts are ammonium, calcium and potassium thioglycolate or its disulfide salts. In some formulations, glyceryl mono thioglycolate is also used. It is used in cosmetic formulations including permanent wave solutions and depilatories, in pharmaceutical manufacture, and as a stabilizer for vinyl plastics. It is available in Technical and Laboratory grade. It is available in the form of Colourless Liquid packed in 50 kg, 200 kg Drum.
