What are the uses of n-Butanol?

n-Butanol is used as a solvent in organic materials (fats, oils, waxes), paints, coatings, varnishes, printing inks, textile industry to coat fabrics, manufacturing plastics, and cleaning or polishing agent. It is used as a chemical intermediate to make butyl acetate, butyl acrylate, glycol ethers, and amino resins.  It is used as an artificial flavoring agent in food and beverages. It is used as a fuel in car engines designed for gasoline.
